The Landeron 39 was a chronograph movement produced in the 1940's and 1950's. Said to have been designed by James Aubert prior to his death in 1939 , the Landeron 39 reflected the state of the art in column wheel chronograph movements at that time. Good day, a friend of mine found recently in a drawer from his deceased father a beautiful chronograph Breitling. he asked my help and I took it to a watchmaker to be restored, he is not able to identify the movement in order to get some parts.
Landeron's 51 calibre marks several slight updates to the original configuration, even though the basic dimensions remained unaltered. If you compare the two in Roland Ranfft's pages you can see the small changes made to the actuators and the heart lever, for example.
