From what I've read ABC is bigger and more established and that some of the guys that worked at ABC started LA. Is this correct? I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept some of the splintered parts I dropped off, and instead put used junk parts. But as you've found out they usually don't even have the parts for watches 50+ years old nowadays. Like Porsche may not have parts for 1960's Porsches, but you can still find a respected specialist that works on that sort of thing and can . I wanted to just provide a quick recommendation of LA Watchworks. Some months ago i approached Audemars Piguet to ask if they would polish my watch, an 1982 Audemars Piguet 4100ST. It had a few battle scars from past owners usage .
- Previously Owned Rolex: 5513 / 1675 / 14060 / 14060M / 16710 and Tudor: 7016/0 / 76100 and more. Either way is fine! If it were 20 years older I'd go with LAWW for sure, but RSC should be able to handle this too. I’ve dealt the the watchmaker at Bhindi in the galleria for a crystal change but I’ve taken all my watches for service to LA watch works. The nicest guys.
